Today I want to tell you about how sugar can cause cancer. This is something I am very passionate about. With the increasing number of cancer diagnoses each year, I want to help educate everyone on how to prevent this disease. I am going to give you tips and share with you the scientific background on cancer prevention.

Excess sugar consumption can cause:
1. Cancer
2. Diabetes
3. Obesity

Cancer and Diabetes:
1. Sugar and Diabetes: Excess sugar consumption increases insulin in the body, leading to insulin resistance, which can cause diabetes.

2. Sugar and Cancer: Excess sugar consumption also increases a hormone called GIP and releases a protein, called S-Catenin, a protein that causes the cells to replicate and become immortal, creating a pre-cancerous cell.

Naturally Preventing Cancer:
-Certain nutrients can cause cell apoptosis or cell cytotoxicity to kill cancer cells.
1. Eat More Vegetables and Fruits
-Fruits and Vegetables are the most nutrient-dense foods and the highest in antioxidants.
-Antioxidants protect the cells against free-radical damage and against proteins, like S-Catenin.
-Fruit does contains sugar, but also contains fiber and beneficial antioxidants to protect the cells against cancer.
-Consume a berry smoothie for breakfast and consume fresh vegetable juice and big, superfood salads for cancer prevention.

-Hormonal Balance: Healthy fats help balance hormones naturally, which reduces cancer risk.
